For shame on me I have been lazy. But with good excuse. Well sorta. I hadn't done anyting since like Wed or Thurs. Maybe Friday cause I have been uber sick.
So........ I did weigh in this morning as usual to find I had lost another 2 pounds. Yay!!!!!!!! I'm down to 153 go me. Only like 28 more to go or something like that. No running today cause my body is still screaming from the fever over the weekend. Just yoga.
So here's my plan for the rest of the week....

Shame On Me
I feel so horrible right now because I've been so lazy the last 2 days. I was so sore in my stomach and shoulder muscles yesterday I chose to be lazy and not go to the gym. I did, however, go and buy a new yoga dvd. Although by the quiet time in which I could manage to do it I was so emotionally drained I really didn't feel the need to open it.
Today I was suppose to do my treadmill and what not but unfortunately I had an appt with the kids during my gym time so I did not make it. By the time we got back to town and they got to school it was time for little mans lunch and naptime. I think I need to adjust my gym time by an hour. That way no matter what I have on that day I can get my time in.
Tomorrow is my yoga day and I'm looking forward to not only checking out the new one but seeing how far I can get in the old one. Each day I work I have found that I can get a little farther without my body screaming at me.
Saturday is again a running day and I'm excited to announce that I will be doing it because our little gym we have has a little area with a door that the kids can play in. I'm a little scared due to the fact that some of my kids are a bit crazy but at the same time I need to make up for being lazy the last few days. Anywho part of my training is to get the proper amount of rest so I'm off to take my tired behind to bed.

I'm so proud
Ok so I've been having problems kicking off the running cause of the local weather here right. Well today I finally made a decision that I can't make excuses! I went to the gym at our community center and hit the machines. I am not tracking by how many miles cuase that is just setting myself up for failure. I am proud to announce that i did a half mile in 16 minutes. What I am proud of is that I was able to rotate between a jog and brisk walk for 16 minutes. A year ago I couldn't even do 5 minuts without dying of exhaustion or my ankle giving out. Oddly enough my bad ankle worked out fine. My good ankle got sore.
After that I hit the eliptical machine for 5 minutes. And then some weight machines.
I have decided from now on I will start 5 to 10 minutes on the eliptical (probably working up to 10 minutes) and then hitting the treadmill working myself up to 15 minutes of brisk walk and 15 minutes of jogging.
I'm going to run on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. On Mon, Wed and Fri I'll do yoga and weight training. Sunday is going to be my day of rest so to say with no major training but just basic with cleaning the house and stuff like that.
I usually use Monday as my wiegh in day but I didn't do it yesterday. I weighed in at 8 this morning and found that I have lost 2 pounds. Yay go me! I'm 155.2 so lets see if I can hit 153 by next week!

Starting Up
So my loving husband has informed me that he has requested R&R for August. For those of you that don't know I have another blog that follows our next year with my husband being deployed. Anywho! That gives me quite literally 8 months to lose up to 40 pounds and tone up. I have been discussing some ideas with some friends and actually have a good plan in place in order to make this happen. Unfortunately part of that plan takes money I won't have till Feb which means I"m shorted a month. So I have started this blog to keep track of my progress and what not. I also have another goal of walking 15,000 miles in the next 11.5 months while my husband is deployed. This is a round number of how far the distance to Bahgdad and back is. Anyway I'm gonna leave you a break down of my goal.
I am going to walk the kids to and from school from Jan. 5th to June 5th.
On Monday, Wed, and Fri I plan on going to excersize classes at the gym (once I get a membership). Until I get the gym membership I'll hit the gym at our community center and hit the treadmill doing strength training on my bad ankle.
On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I plan on walking and running in the mornings along with using the gym equiptment in the afternoons.
I need to figure out a good flavorful diet. I have found two reasons in which diet fails me in this house. The biggest being finances. Eating healthy isn't always cheap. And with 5 kids to feed I mostly come secondary. The 2nd being that I have a good diet but it is so bland it's hard to follow. I need to start drinking more water too.
My husband and I created a bet that I would not be able to outrun him when he returns from his deployment. Alot of the running that i have scheduled is training up for this event. Wish me luck cuase it'd be awesome to beat a soldier at something he trains daily for!
Lastly I have just been notified that we have a half marathon coming up but since my ankle is still so week I will not enroll for it as it's at the end of this month. However! The 23rd annual Silver Classic 5k walk/run is coming up on March 1st. I am going to enroll in this one. So wish me luck getting ready to do a 5k run in 2 months.
Today is my weigh day but since I can't get taped till tomorrow I"ll post that information then. It is also my rest day so I will not be doing any excersize today. Have a great day bloggers!
